The difference

The Koenders difference.

Plenty of equipment works fine next to a power outlet on a calm day. We build for the remote dugout, the hard winter and the lagoon that has to keep performing no matter what.

The difference

Built for the sites everything else forgets

Plenty of equipment works fine next to a power outlet on a calm day. The real test is the remote dugout, the hard prairie winter, the lagoon that has to keep performing no matter what. That is what we design for.

Koenders aeration is engineered to be reliable where it is hardest to be, and simple enough that operators can keep it running without a specialist on call.

Why it is different

Four reasons operators choose Koenders

The advantages that show up on real sites, season after season.

  1. 01

    Off-grid engineering

Windmill and solar systems bring oxygen to off-grid and remote water without trenching in a power line, a practical, lower-cost answer for far-flung sites.

  2. 02

    Canadian manufacture

Our aeration systems are built in Canada, at our Saskatchewan operation, where they were pioneered in 1988 and refined on real sites in demanding conditions.

  3. 03

    Warranty depth

A limited warranty is available on Koenders systems, backed by parts you can source and service that operators can carry out themselves.

  4. 04

    Education-first support

We help you size and place a system correctly, with guides, a sizing calculator and a team that would rather get the recommendation right than oversell.

How it works

Bottom-up aeration, the way healthy water breathes

Most water problems start at the bottom, where oxygen runs lowest and organic matter settles. Koenders aeration pushes air to a diffuser near the bottom of the water body. The rising column lifts low-oxygen water up, circulates the whole pond and oxygenates it from the bottom up, so aerobic conditions reach the depths where they matter most.

Air delivered near the bottom
Aeration adds air deep in the water body rather than only disturbing the surface. That lifts oxygen into the layers where it usually runs lowest.
Circulation reaches the bottom
Moving water from the bottom up carries oxygen into the deeper zones where it tends to be scarcest. Better circulation keeps the whole column working, not just the top few feet.
Supports natural breakdown of muck
Adding oxygen keeps conditions aerobic, which supports the natural breakdown of organic matter on the bottom. That works with the pond's own biology instead of against it.
Wind, solar or electric power
Aeration can run on wind, solar or electric power depending on what the site allows. You choose the source that fits the location rather than forcing one option.

Who we serve

Trusted across water that matters

Farms and acreages

Healthy dugouts and ponds for livestock, irrigation and recreation, often far from the nearest outlet.

Municipal and wastewater

Scalable aeration for lagoons, stormwater and public ponds where reliability is not optional.

Golf, aquaculture and more

Clearer water hazards, healthier fish stock and better water quality across demanding commercial sites.

If it can keep a prairie dugout aerobic through a Saskatchewan winter, it can handle your site. That is the bar every Koenders system has to clear.
