Questions

Aeration, answered

How wind, solar and electric aeration keep water healthy anywhere.

Why does a pond, dugout or lagoon need aeration?
Still water stratifies and loses oxygen, which lets muck and nutrients build up. Aeration keeps the water moving and oxygenated, supports fish and beneficial bacteria, and helps prevent winter fish kill.
How does windmill aeration work without electricity?
A windmill uses wind to drive an air compressor that pushes air to a diffuser at the bottom of the water, circulating and oxygenating it with no electricity or fuel required, which is ideal for remote and off-grid sites.
Should I choose windmill, solar or electric aeration?
It depends on your site: windmills suit windy, off-grid locations; solar suits sunny sites that want daytime aeration without a power line; electric suits sites with power that want continuous, controllable output. Contact us and we’ll match a system to your conditions.
Are Koenders aeration systems made in Canada?
Yes. Koenders has designed and built water aeration equipment in Canada and supported operators on farms, acreages and municipal sites for decades.
Can I get parts and support for an existing system?
Yes, we carry parts and accessories and can help you service or expand an existing aeration setup. Reach out with your model and site details.
